BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Longwood Universtity men's tennis team lost 6-1 at Campbell in Buies Creek, North Carolina this afternoon. Freshman Harry Kelleher|Sydney, Australia (St Aloysius' College) scored the Lancers (0-4) only point in the match, topping Josep Baro at #5 singles in three sets, 4-6, 7-6, 10-5. LU plays again on Friday, February 17 at 1 p.m. against Richmond in Richmond.

Kelleher also played at No. 2 doubles with freshman Daniel Elston|Bath, England (Ralph Allen School), falling 8-3. Elston lost his No. 3 singles match 6-3, 7-6. At #1 doubles, senior Nobu Tanaka|Potomac, Md. (St. Johns College HS) and junior transfer Giorgi Khmiadashvili|Tbilisi, Georgia (Public School 148) lost 8-1. while sophomore Edward Becker|Sydney, Australia (Manly Selective Campus) and freshman Steed Johnson|Raleigh, N.C. (Broughton) lost 8-3 at #3 doubles.

Tanaka fell 6-1, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, and Khmiadashvili fell 6-3, 6-4 at #2. In the #4 match, Becker was topped 6-0, 7-5, while Johnson put up a fight but ultimately went down in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 10-6.
