Kaye Goulding And Stacey de Grandhomme Earn NFHCA All-South Region Second Team Honors

FARMVILLE, Va. - Longwood University field hockey junior Kaye Goulding|Tickhill, England (Wakefield Girls) and sophomore Stacey de Grandhomme|Cape Town, South Africa (Table View) have been named to the 2011 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Associations (NFHCA) Division I All-South Region Second Team. Goulding posted a 1.61 goals against average with three shutouts, while de Grandhomme led the Lancers with 14 goals. The pair helped the Lancers to a 13-9 overall record and a third-place finish at the Northern Pacific Field Hockey Conference (NorPac) Tournament.

Goulding played 1431:04 in goal and allowed 33 goals with 139 saves for a .808 save percentage, third-best in the  nation through matches of November 13. She posted a career-high 14 saves in two matches this season. Goulding was named the NorPac East Division Defensive Player of the Year and to the NorPac East Division All-Conference Team.

de Grandhomme, pictured above, led the team with 14 goals, 30 points, 94 shots, 55 shots on goal and seven match-winning goals. She recorded one hat trick and earned a spot on the NorPac East Division All-Conference Team.

The last, and only other, Longwood representative on the NFHCA All-South Region Second Team was Carla Binnewies in 2008.
