Stacey de Grandhomme|Cape Town, South Africa (Table View) scored all three goals, including the match-winner in the 73rd minute, for the Lancers (7-7) against the Tigers (2-7). Longwood returns to action on Monday, October 10, when it hosts Saint Louis University of the Atlantic 10 Conference at 12 p.m. at the Athletics Complex in Farmville.
Paige Counsman scored for Pacific at 5:25 after a fierce scrum in front of the net to give the Tigers the 1-0 lead. de Grandhomme answered with two first half goals, the first at 29:38 on a shot from the left side. She gave the Lancers the 2-1 lead at 33:29 when she scored on a penalty corner that was inserted by sophomore

Longwood had numerous scoring opportunities in the second half, outshooting Pacific 12-4 with a 7-1 advantage in penalty corners. The Lancers had three corners in a row in the 59th minute, but none of the shots were on target. Pacific tied the match with a goal at 69:27 by Amanda Spellman. Neither team got a shot off in the remainder of regulation and went to overtime tied 2-2. de Grandhomme scored the match-winner on a hard shot from the top of the circle at 72:24.
