BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Longwood University split a baseball doubleheader on the road at Campbell University of the Atlantic Sun Conference Saturday afternoon in Buies Creek, North Carolina. The Lancers (22-18) won the first game 24-12 while scoring their most runs in a game in 10 years, and highest total since moving to Division I as junior Brant Jones/Richmond (Monacan) tied single game school-records with five hits and six runs -- the six runs also accomplished in the game by senior Scott Kimble/Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania). The Fighting Camels (25-23) took the second game 22-6 to avoid the series sweep as LU won two of the three games in the weekend series. Longwood is scheduled to play again on Tuesday, May 11, hosting Radford University of the Big South Conference at Bolding Stadium in Farmville beginning at 6 p.m.. It will be Senior Night for the six Lancers finishing their careers -- Admission is Free.

In the opener, Longwood posted season-highs of 24 runs, 20 hits, and 23 RBI en route to the lopsided triumph.
