Coach Bolding: “I have been not-so-patiently waiting for the real Dustin Sollars to bring his game to the ballpark, but am hopeful to see it this year.  Dustin needs to jump on good pitches early in the count and drive in runs, hit doubles, and steal bases.  His tools are essentially unlimited, but he must want to dominate the game instead of permitting it to dominate him."

Started 27 of 37 games … hit .225 with two home runs, eight doubles, 23 RBI, 18 runs, and 3-3 stolen bases … six multi-hit games … eight multi-RBI games … season-best four-game hitting streak (7-20, .350) … team season-best hit-by-pitch two times vs. James Madison (3.31).

2009
Started 34 of 38 games … hit .287 with three home runs, one triple, four doubles, 24 RBI, 19 runs, and 4-4 stolen bases … eight multi-hit games … seven multi-RBI games … season-best seven-game hitting streak (9-18, .500).

High School
Four-year standout at Cosby … All-Region and All-District 1st-Team as a senior … hit .377 with two home runs, and 12 RBI … All-Region 2nd-Team and All-District 1st-Team as a junior … played for former Lancer standout Tim Lowery ‘82.

Personal
Son of Peggy and Lance Sollars … an uncle, Wayne Sullivan, played for the Atlanta Braves … a cousin, Rafael Gordillo, played soccer for Real Madrid.

Academics
Exercise science major.
