BOILING SPRING, N.C. – Longwood University took a pair of men's tennis road victories Saturday in Boling Springs, North Carolina, defeating host Gardner-Webb University 5-2 and North Greenville College 7-0.  The Lancers (3-2) were led by senior Brandon Lindsley/Woodbridge (Woodbridge) who earned two wins at #2 singles as well as two wins at #3 doubles.  Longwood is scheduled to play again February 22, hosting Winston-Salem State University at the Lancer Courts beginning at 1 p.m..

At Gardner-Webb, Longwood won four of six singles matches and two of three doubles contests.  Those gaining wins in singles included Lindsley at #2 (6-4, 6-3), junior David Cardoso/Porto, Portugal (Externato Lumen) at #3 (6-3, 3-6, 10-8), freshman Nobu Tanaka/Potomac, Md. (St. Johns College HS) at #4 (6-1, 6-3), and junior Billy Heird/York, Pa. (Dallastown) at #5 (6-2, 6-3).  Senior Carlos Garcia de Andoain/Madrid, Spain (Liceo Sorolla) lost at #1 (4-6, 4-6), as did junior Andres Lazarte/Vienna (San Miguel) at #6 (2-6, 2-6).  In doubles for the Lancers, de Andoain and Cardoso won at #2 (9-8 [3]), as did Lindsley and Tanaka at #3 (9-8 [4]), while Heird and sophomore Milo Barajas-Alexander/Arlington (Bishop O'Connell) fell at #1 (4-8).

Against Division II North Greenville, Longwood swept all six singles matches and all three doubles contests.  Winning in singles were de Andoain at #1 (6-1, 6-4), Lindsley at #2 (6-1, 6-1), Cardoso at #3 (6-2, 6-2), Tanaka at #4 (6-3, 6-2), Heird at #5 (6-2, 6-0), and Barajas-Alexander at #6 (6-0, 7-6 [3]).  Winning in doubles for the Lancers were Heird and Barajas-Alexander at #1 (8-4), de Andoain and Cardoso won at #2 (8-1), along with Lindsley and Tanaka at #3 (8-2).
