The Lancers now fall to 6-8 on the season, while the Cavalier's improve to 11-5. “There isn't much to talk about,” head coach
Iain Byers said. “The way we played was unacceptable. This is by far our worst performance of the season. How the team responds in our next game will be a test of our character - whether or not we will be able to put this game behind us and get a quality conference win. All we can do is learn from our mistakes today and keeping reaching for better things.”
The Lancers had a hard time getting a shot off in both halves of the game, being outshot by the Cavalier's 23-6 in the game, while Virginia also had a 7-2 advantage in corners. Of the Lancers' six shots, they did manage to put four of them on goal with senior
Carla Binnewies/Hamburg, Germany (Carl von Ossietzkly Gymnasium) leading the team in shots with two, both of which were on frame.
