FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University sophomore men’s soccer forward Jonathan Kukapa|Leesburg (Clarksburg Md.) is this week’s Longwood Male Athlete of the Week. Kukapa played a pivotal role in all three of the Lancers’ goals in their 3-1 victory at George Washington on September 29. Kukapa earned his first-career start in the win, which was the team’s first non-conference victory of the season. He assisted on Longwood’s first goal at GW to knot the game at 1-1 before scoring the eventual game-winner. He added his second assist of the night when the team scored a late insurance goal to seal the 3-1 win. The forward from Leesburg currently leads the team with two goals and three assists for seven points this season.
