FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood Head Men's Basketball Coach
Ronnie Thomas announced the addition of Lazar Milošević to the men's basketball roster for the 2026-27 season.
Milošević comes to Longwood from the Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina by way of Duquesne University, where he played as a freshman.
"Lazar brings a unique blend of size and skill that will immediately impact our program in two key areas—offensive versatility and rebounding presence," Thomas said. "What truly separates him, though, is his mindset and confidence, which stood out from the very beginning of our relationship. Those intangibles are often the most valuable and hardest to measure, and Lazar possesses them at a high level."
The sophomore helped Duquesne go 18-15 in the A-10 and advance to the quarterfinals in the A-10 conference tournament.
The 6'10, 258 pound forward played shot .565 from the floor while averaging 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in a reserve role.
Prior to Duquesne, Milošević played for the OKK Spars Sarajevo in the top league in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he averaged 12.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game over 26 contests. He shot 45.3 percent from the floor and better than 40 percent from three.
He scored at least 20 points four times and in double figures 15 times for OKK Spars, including eight of his final nine games to close the season, when he averaged 15.8 points per game.
Now, he joins a Lancer side that has won a pair of Big South titles in the past five seasons and will be entering its second year with Thomas as the head coach.
The Lancers will begin the hunt for a Big South title in 2026-27. To stay tuned to the latest information about Longwood Basketball, head to
