THE OPENING TIP
•    Longwood wraps up a stretch that saw it play three out of four on the road with a trip to Radford on Saturday afternoon, although the team did have a bye amid the run.
•    The two teams are 4-4 against each other over the past four seasons, with last season's games being decided on the final possession of the game.
•    Both teams enter the game coming off of wins, and the Big South has only one team with a current winning streak while every team has a loss through five league games.
•    In addition, only three of the league's nine teams sport a winning record, with two more sitting at 2-2.
•    Redd Thompson, Jr. has been Longwood's leading scorer in Big South play, posting 11.5 points per game in league action.
•    Elijah Tucker (11.3 points), Emanuel Richards (10.3) and Jacoi Hutchinson (10) all are averaging in double figures.

LAST TIME OUT
•    Longwood took an early lead and kept Presbyterian at arm's length in a 77-70 win on January 10 that snapped a two-game losing streak.
•    Three players scored in double figures with Elijah Tucker leading the way with 17 points and 10 rebounds, including four on the offensive glass.
•    Longwood snared 12 offensive rebounds, with Johan Nziemi also grabbing four offensive boards.
•    Jaylen Benard chipped in 11 points and Alphonzo Billups III added 10 points off the bench as the Lancer bench outscored Presbyterian 36-18.
•    The Lancers used a 14-4 run in the first half to create separation and turn a one-point deficit into a 21-12 lead.
•    The lead grew to double figures with six minutes to go in the half, and Longwood's defense, coupled with timely plays from Billups, Benard and Tucker, helped the Lancers fend off any rally from Presbyterian.
•    Jaylen Peterson led PC with 21 points.

BY THE NUMBERS
•    Longwood has had six different players lead the team in scoring in a game this season, with both Redd Thompson, Jr. and Elijah Tucker having done so six times this season.
