CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Five Longwood soccer players have been named to the Big South Midseason Watch List, the league announced on Wednesday.
Representing the Lancers on the list are forwards Brando Bedolla, Syrus Conolly, midfielder Christer Salvensen and defenders Jesus Macaya and Joshua Yoder.
With Big South men's soccer league play beginning this weekend, the head coaches submitted players for the list following the first month of the 2025 season. Each team could select any five players to be included on the Watch List based on their season-to-date performance during the non-conference portion of the slate. The Preseason Players of the Year are automatically included.
Bedolla leads the team with two goals and two assists for six points in six starts this season. He scored in first two matches of the season, a 1-1 draw against Mount Olive on Aug. 21 and a 3-2 victory over ETSU on Aug. 29.
Conolly has two goals and one assist for five points in five matches and four starts this season. He scored in his Longwood debut versus the Buccaneers and at Liberty on Sept. 9.
Christer Salvesen has an assist in five matches and starts this season. He assisted on Benjamin Ferrero's 13th-minute tally as the Lancers drew at Campbell on Tuesday.
Macaya recorded an assist in each of the first two matches this season and started all six contests so far.
Yoder played has every minute of the Lancers' six matches season in the back.
