WHAT THEY SAID:
"While it was far from the worst day we've had, it was a little bit of an ugly day to play," said Longwood Head Coach
Kevin Fillman. "From that standpoint, I give our guys credit for playing hard and doing everything possible to get all they could out of their rounds."
"Much like yesterday, there's a lot of things we did well and a number of things that we need to improve upon," Fillman said. "Kai played a really nice first event. He seemed to be in control the entire time. After our initial team qualifier and now everybody having a tournament under their belts, we appear to have some good depth to our team. It's going to take some work, but I'm excited about where I believe we can go."
UP NEXT:
The Lancers return to team competition at the Colonel Shootout at The Club at Arlington in Richmond, Kentucky, hosted by Eastern Kentucky, on Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21.
