The First Pitch:
•    Longwood is set to take on VCU in the midweek matchup.
•    The two teams split last years series with both teams winning at home.

•    Longwood had a monster opening weekend at the plate, with the team's offense ranking in the top 50 in the NCAA in a variety of categories.
•    The Lancers started the year off with a bang, where they erased a 4 run deficit in the first inning by putting a 13 spot on the board.
•    Willie Havens got this started with a two run shot in his first career at bat for the Lancers, as well as his first at bat of the season.
