FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood travels to New York to open a four-game road swing this week.
THE OPENING TIP
•   Longwood travels to its first true road game of the season with a trip to Binghamton on Tuesday night.
•   The Lancers are 4-0 for the second time under head coach
Griff Aldrich after also achieving the mark in 2018-19.
•   Longwood will play Binghamton for the first time in program history, with this also marking the team's first trip to New York since the season opener in 2023-24 at St. Bonaventure.
•   The Lancers, picked third, will take on a Binghamton team picked to finish sixth in the America East.
•   Longwood has two players averaging double figures in points:
KJ McClurg (15.8) and
Johan Nziemi (10). However, five players average at least seven points per game.
•   Three players average in double figures for Binghamton, with Ben Callahan-Gold leading the way at 13.6 points per game.

LAST TIME OUT
•   Longwood's defense and grit, and some timely shots from
KJ McClurg and
Jaylen Benard, turned a double-digit deficit into a 64-62 win over UT Martin on Saturday afternoon.
•   McClurg erupted for 20 of his 25 points after halftime, and Benard drained a pair of late triples during the comeback.
Kyrell Luc hit two foul shots with 3.9 seconds to play to break a 62-62 tie and give Longwood its first and only lead of the day.
•   Josue Grullon led UT Martin with 22 points as the visitors hit 10 threes.
•   McClurg, meanwhile, hit five of Longwood's seven threes, and Benard had the other two.
•   UT Martin led from the opening tip and led by as much as 13 in the first half.
•   McClurg came out on fire to start the second half and pulled Longwood back in, and Benard added the energy. He had a team-best six rebounds, with four on the offensive glass.
