The Opening Tip
•    Longwood travels to Commonwealth foe Radford for an in-state clash on ESPNU.
•    The matchup features two of the top three teams in the Big South. Longwood is tied for first with UNC Asheville at 7-1, and Radford is one game behind at 6-2.
•    Radford is one of three in-state opponents for the Lancers this season. Mary Baldwin and Virginia Military Institute were the other two.
•    Longwod is one of two teams in the Big South with six true road wins. UNC Asheville is the other.
•    The Lancer defense has held three of its past four opponents to fewer than 60 points.
•    Isaiah Wilkins leads Longwood in scoring at 12.8 points per game, and he scored his 1,000th collegiate point at Presbyterian on Saturday, Jan. 21. He is the second Lancer to top 1,000 collegiate points this season, with DeShaun Wade accomplishing the feat in December.
•    Wilkins was named to the Watch List for the 2022-23 Lou Henson Award, which is given annually to the top mid-major player at the Division I level.
 
Last Time Out
•    Longwood earned its seventh win of Big South play with a gritty effort at Presbyterian.
•    The Lancer defense was lights out in the first half in a 58-56 win, and Isaiah Wilkins, DeShaun Wade and Zac Watson scored 14 of Longwood's final 18 points to secure the win.
•    Longwood's defense helped the team shake off a slow start, and Wilkins scored seven of the team's final 10 points of the first half to take a 26-21 lead at the break.
•    Wilkins then helped Longwood extend the lead to 11 points early in the second half, but Presbyterian rallied to cut the lead to one possession.
•    Neither side led by more than three points for the final 13 minutes, but Presbyterian went 4-13 from the foul line after halftime.
