The five-time Big South Champion Longwood Lancers softball team has announced its fall exhibition game schedule prior to the 2023 season. The Lancers will play in four total games during the month of October against teams all across the state of Virginia.

Longwood begins its slate of fall games against Virginia on October 15^th at 11:00am followed by a tilt with James Madison at 3:00pm the same day. The Lancers will then take on Virginia State twice on October 22^nd at 12:00pm and 2:00pm respectively. All games will take place at home.

"We're looking forward to really good competition and preparation for the spring," said head coach Dr. Megan Brown. "We're looking forward to giving people opportunities to learn and grow."

Longwood is coming off of a 2022 campaign that saw them finish as regular season Big South champions at 34-24 (21-7 in conference) and as runners up in the Big South Tournament. The team returns a majority of last year's starters and welcomes five freshmen to the program.
