The Longwood University Athletics Communications Department is searching for student interns to gain valuable experience in athletic communications, social media content and graphic design for all Lancers athletic events in the upcoming academic year.
 
Students will have the opportunity to enhance their portfolios and gain valuable work experience on the behind the scenes of collegiate sporting events. The department will work with the students to meet their specific interests, needs and satisfy any intern hours the student may need to graduate.
 
Job responsibilities can include but are not limited to…
 
Writing- producing recaps, feature stories and other content surrounding Longwood's 14 athletic programs
 
Statting – Learn and operate different types of statting software for Longwood's 14 athletic programs
 
 
Social Media – Collaborate with the athletic communications staff to generate positive attention towards the Longwood athletics team's social media accounts. Interact with fans and post content to drive interest in the department and programs
 
Graphic Design – Edit photos and create a variety of graphics and graphic templates for use across all athletic programs. Work with the communications team to give the Lancers a continuous fresh, professional look with unique designs and edits
