FARMVILLE, Va. — Jose Ramos Flores has been hired as Director of Broadcast Operations & Creative Video at Longwood, Deputy Athletics Director for External Operations Austin Shaver announced on Monday.

In the role, Ramos Flores will oversee all aspects of the department's ESPN+ broadcasts while supporting creative video initiatives that enhance the visibility of the Lancers.

"Jose is a tremendous fit for this position because he already understands what makes Longwood athletics special," Shaver said. "Having spent four years contributing to our ESPN+ broadcasts and working alongside our communications staff, he brings a unique combination of technical experience, creativity and familiarity with our department. We're excited to welcome him back and look forward to seeing him continue to elevate the quality of our broadcasts while helping tell the stories of our student-athletes and programs."

A four-year member of the ESPN+ broadcast team as a Longwood student, Ramos Flores gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of live production, including as a camera operator and on-screen graphics creator. He also ran the instant replay machine to create highlight packages, among other duties.

Additionally, Ramos Flores earned opportunities to call game action as both a play-by-play and color commentator of several Longwood sports, including men's and women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, women's lacrosse, baseball, softball and field hockey.

Ramos Flores performed an internship in the Longwood athletics communications office in the spring of 2025, inputting live statistics during basketball and baseball games while also working closely with the women's lacrosse team to increase social media engagement through graphic and video design.

A three-time dean's list honoree, Ramos Flores graduated Longwood in 2026, earning a degree in communication studies with a digital media concentration.
