WHAT THEY SAID:
"I feel like we started how we needed to start this morning," said head coach
Kevin Fillman following his teams final round at the Classic. "It's unfortunate that we weren't quite able to sustain it throughout the day. Dan's the guy who seemed to get stronger as the round got later, which is good to see. I would certainly liked to have seen Brendan finish what he started yesterday. He was solid but just wasn't as sharp today. Much like a couple weeks ago, we have a quick turnaround. We'll get ready and will go try to be better at Elon.
"It feels really good to have this performance," exclaimed Dunphy after his performance at the Ironwood. "It's always good to put yourself in those positions to win and test your mental game; to see how you hold up under the pressure. This gives me a lot of confidence into the last two events of the season starting next week at Elon. Hopefully me and the rest of the team can build off this and play some really good golf heading into the off-season."
