Wyse paced a Camel offense that score five runs in the fifth inning to break open the game on the way to an 11-0 series-clinching victory Friday afternoon from Jim Perry Stadium.
Jones picked up all four RBI with one swing of the bat as he took a 3-1 deep to left for a grand slam to highlight the five-run fifth. Campbell (25-29, 8-13 Big South) clinched the series after taking game one of the series from Longwood (18-32, 6-17 Big South) 9-4 Thursday night.
Sophomore southpaw Steven
Farkas (2-3) took the loss for Longwood as he pitched 4.0 innings and picked up four strikeouts while surrendering six runs, five of them earned. Ryan Kirk (4-6) picked up the win for Campbell tossing 4.0 innings allowing three hits and striking out two.
Freshman catcher Nathan
Iskowitz had the lone multi-hit game for the Lancers, finishing the afternoon 2-for-3 while Ryan
Shull, Michael
Osinski,
Alex Lewis and
Grant Keller combined for the other four hits.
Longwood will look to salvage a game in the series Saturday in the final game of the season. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Jim Perry Stadium.
