FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood athletics is excited to announce that registration for the Little Lancer Kids Club presented by Bojangles' of Farmville is now open for the 2016-17 season.

The Little Lancers Kids Club is open to children in grades eight or lower and provides members with a t-shirt, drawstring bag, free admission to Longwood home games, invitations to members-only tailgate parties and postgame clinics with members of Longwood's athletic teams. Membership for the group costs $20 with available discount opportunities for multiple memberships, while a special $10 early registration fee is available to those who sign up by July 1.

A new addition to the club this year will be an interactive fan zone at games that features an inflatable at Longwood sporting events. With the club reaching its fifth year in existence, all loyal members who have been in the program for each of the past five years will receive special recognition during the 2016-17 basketball season.

"We truly have been blown away by the continued support of our families toward the Little Lancers Kids Club. Last year we had a record enrollment of over 100 members and we look forward to surpassing our numbers this year" said Longwood Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing Steve Robertson, who serves as the program's coordinator.

All Little Lancer Kids Club events take place in a fun and safe learning environment at the family-friendly athletic events hosted on Longwood's campus.

A program that aims to provide the youth of Farmville and their family members an enhanced Longwood game day experience, the Little Lancers Kids Club looks to establish and cultivate relationships between Longwood student-athletes, Longwood University and the local community.
