Leading Off• Longwood travels to Campbell for its third Big South series of the week and second consecutive series on the road.

Elizabeth McCarthy notched her second career no-hitter in the series finale Wednesday at Liberty. Throughout the three games, McCarthy notched 18 strikeouts in 15 innings of work and allowed no runs after the first inning of play.
• Longwood will look to win its fifth straight Big South series of the season against a Campbell squad that has yet to get their first series win despite being picked fourth in the preseason selections. The Lancers were able to pick up their first sweep of the season against Liberty, while taking two-of-three from Coastal Carolina, Winthrop and Presbyterian.
• Longwood -- who leads the Big South with an RPI of 103 -- has played a number of squads inside the top 100 of the RPI this season. The Lancers have played four games among teams listed in the top-25 of the RPI rankings, while playing nine games against teams in the top-50 of the rankings. Finally, 14 of Longwood's 25 games this season have come against opposing teams inside the top-100 of the rankings.

Elizabeth McCarthy tossed her second career no-hitter Wednesday afternoon at Liberty Softball Stadium, helping the Lancers earn a 9-0 victory in five innings to complete a three-game series sweep of Liberty.
• McCarthy allowed three base runners throughout the afternoon on one walk and two hit batters to pick up her fifth straight victory and improve to a season-high three games above .500 at 11-8. She also struck out four Liberty batters in five scoreless innings throughout the afternoon.
• The performance was the seventh straight game that Riley has called upon McCarthy to start in the absence of senior
Libby Morris – who has been sidelined with a minor injury. McCarthy has responded well in the seven starts, posting a 5-2 mark and has given up two runs or less in six of the seven starts.
• Throughout the three games against Liberty, McCarthy allowed just two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out 18 batters in 15 innings pitched. McCarthy lowered her ERA to 3.42 on the season after coming into the series with an ERA of 3.80.

Kelsey Sweeney was a triple away from hitting for the cycle, as she launched her second home run in four games and later provided a two-RBI double to right center field.

Krista Kelly just missed her first collegiate home run in a 2-of-2 performance. The rookie finished the game with a single and a double.
Scouting the Camels• Longwood travels to Campbell for its second straight Big South road series. The Lancers will go after their third straight series win against the Camels since joining the Big South.
• Campbell has lost its first four Big South series of the season and sits in last place in the Big South with a 2-9 record. The Camels have dropped five of their past six conference games, including two-of-three against Liberty and all three games against Charleston Southern.
• Ericka Nesbitt leads the Camels with a .440 batting average to go along with seven doubles, two triples and one home run.
• In the circle, Katie Baker leads the way with a 2.52 ERA. She owns a 10-10 record on the campaign.
