LEADING OFF
• Longwood steps out of conference this weekend to take on North Carolina A&T, who enters the series 3-28.
• The Lancers and Aggies have already met once this season in a midweek game in Greensboro. Longwood took that meeting 10-5.
Allen Ellis struck out seven straight Aggies in earning the win nearly a month ago.
• The Lancers now lead the all-time series with North Carolina A&T by a 29-9 margin.
• Longwood is looking to get back to the .500 mark overall for the first time this season. The Lancers need a sweep to get to 17-17.
• Ace Aaron Myers will be going for history Friday night as the senior needs three strikeouts to break the school record.
