· Longwood starters
Aaron Myers and
Travis Burnette provided quality starts in the Army series. Myers bounced back from a rocky performance against Ohio to throw a complete game six-hitter. The ace fell 1-0 in the game as the Lancers were no-hit.
· Burnette threw a career-best 7.1 innings and combined with reliever
Mitchell Kuebbing to shutout the Black Knights in game two. Burnette fanned a career-high five batters in the contest.
· Longwood's relievers have been on point over the past week. In the last four appearances for the bullpen, Lancer relievers have scattered 10 hits across 17 innings and allowed just two runs.
AT THE PLATE· Three Lancers have reached safely in each of Longwood's 10 games this season.
Connar Bastaich,
Travis Biddix and
C.J. Roth each have touched first in every game this season.
· Leadoff man
Colton Konvicka leads the Lancers with a .324 batting average. Konvicka has scored six times in four games at the top of the order.
· Left fielder
Kyri Washington is currently 10th in the country with four home runs on the season. Three of Washington's bombs have been of the opposite field variety.
· Junior college transfer
Connar Bastaich continues to impress at the plate. The five-hole hitter had a 4-for-5 day with two RBI in the series finale versus Army and now owns a .308 average.
· Freshman
Michael Osinski found his stroke going 3-for-4 with a pair of runs driven in against Army on Sunday. The two RBI were the first for Osinski as a Lancer.
