RADFORD, Va. -- Longwood University will play on the road in men's basketball at fellow Big South Conference North Division opponent and in-state rival Radford University on Saturday, January 18 at 4 p.m. at the Dedmon Center in Radford. The game between the Lancers and the Highlanders can be viewed exclusively on

The Game
Longwood (5-13, 0-3) continues its first season of the Gee Era on Saturday at 4 p.m., as the Lancers play at in-state rival and fellow Big South Conference North Division opponent Radford (12-6, 2-1).Â
Jayson Gee, a former associate head coach at Cleveland State for the past seven seasons, was appointed at Longwood on April 3, 2013. A veteran with 24 years of college coaching experience, he helped the Vikings to four postseason appearances, including one NCAA Tournament and three NIT bids.
The Series
Longwood and Radford are meeting for the 19th time in the sport since 1976-77, but only for the fifth time since 1983-84, and just the third time as Division I programs (1-1). The Highlanders lead the overall series against the Lancers, 13-5, including a perfect 9-0 record at home in Radford. The Highlanders won at home last season,
82-72, on January 16, while Longwood also won at home last year,
76-61, on February 16. R.J. Price had 30 points in the Radford win, while
Tristan Carey had 31 points in the Longwood win.
The Lancers
Longwood is 5-13 overall, 0-3 in the Big South after an
83-75 road loss at High Point on Jan. 15. The Lancers are expected to start senior

Jeylani Dublin (10.9 points, 4.5 rebounds) are expected to play off the bench. Longwood is shooting 45% (451-1000) from the field, including 35% (97-276) on three-pointers and 73% (279-381) at the line.
The Highlanders
Radford is 12-6 overall, 2-1 in the Big South after a
101-88 home loss to VMI on Jan. 15. Mike Jones is in his third year as head coach of the Highlanders. Radford is expected to start juniors Javonte Green (16.5 points, 6.9 rebounds) and R.J. Price (13.3 points, 3.2 assists, 36 3FGs), sophomore Ya Ya Anderson (9.9 points, 36 3FGs), redshirt-sophomore Brandon Holcomb (5.3 points, 5.6 rebounds) and junior Kyle Noreen (3.6 points). Sophomore Rashun Davis (9.7 points, 3.3 assists) has played well off the bench this year. The Highlanders are shooting 47% (490-1044) from the field, including 34% (105-305) on three-pointers and 68% (296-433) at the line.

Ziegler, averaging 14.8 points in his last four games (23-36 FGs), and has reached double-figure scoring in 14 of 18 games …
Woodhouse, with 30 assists in his last three games (10.0), and has 10 games with at least seven assists, including a career-high 13 assists vs. WVU Tech on Dec. 4 … he has also scored in double figures in eight of the last 13 games (10.3), with a season-high 19 points vs. North Carolina A&T on Nov. 29 …
Carey, with nine 20-plus point games, and surpassed the magical 1,000 career point plateau with a game-high 21 points vs. Brown on Nov. 22, and now totals 1,227 career points (12th all-time) in 81 games (15.1) … he has reached double-figure scoring in 15 of 17 games, and also grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds vs. Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 30 …
Fisher, averaging 11.0 points in his last three games (5-12 3FGs), and has seven double-figure scoring games …
Dublin, with nine double-figure scoring games, off the bench, while shooting a team-best 57% (84-148) from the field … he had a season-high 18 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in only 22 minutes vs. WVU Tech on Dec. 4.
