CARY, N.C. -- Longwood University posted 70 points in men's cross country to place second among 10 teams at the Great American Cross Country Festival Friday afternoon at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. Duke University of the Atlantic Coast Conference won the team title with 16 points, including seven of the top 10 runners, while Andrew Brodeur (unattached) was the individual race winner with his time of 24:35 over the 8K course. Russell Reed|Onemo (Mathews) with his time of 26:55 to place 12th among the field of 78 competitors. Longwood will next compete at the Blue Ridge Open hosted by Appalachian State University of the Southern Conference on October 12 in Boone, North Carolina at 4:30 p.m.
