FARMVILLE, Va. -- The Longwood University Athletics Department unveiled a brand new website design on July 26. This most recent overhaul is the first for the site since 2009, and aimed to make the layout cleaner and more user-friendly. SIDEARM Sports of Syracuse, New York, the company that originally created www.longwoodlancers.com in October 2003, worked with the athletics staff to develop the most recent design.

“The website is a great avenue to provide insider information to all Longwood fans,” said Director of Athletics Troy Austin.  “The new design is visually clean and provides a great medium for our newly expanded video ventures, as well as access to the school's social media endeavors.  I appreciate the efforts of the SIDEARM Sports team and I look forward utilize our upgraded site.”

“There is always a demand to keep your online materials up-to-date to give the Longwood fans everything they are looking for all in one, easy-to-navigate location,” said Associate Athletics Director for Media Relations Greg Prouty.  “We think this new version of the website is the best one yet and we are excited to launch it.  Thank you to SIDEARM Sports for all of their help with this project!”

Since its creation in 2003, this is the fourth redesign for the Lancers' official website. The site, maintained daily by the Athletics Media Relations office, contains information on each of Longwood's 14 Division I intercollegiate sports, including comprehensive team information and statistics; coaching staff information; administrative staff information; and other important Longwood Athletics news and information. The site also features social media links to Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, as well as links to an Apparel Store, a Photo Store, Live Stats, RSS Feeds, and SMS Text Messaging.
