NEW MARKET, Va. -- Longwood University posted 159 points to finish fifth among seven teams Saturday at the JMU Open Invitational at the New Market Battlefield near Harrisonburg. Duke University took first place with 15 points, led by individual race winner Morgan Pearson with his time of 25:01, while the Lancers were led by freshman
Nick Reed|Fairfax (Robinson) with his time of 27:34 over the 7900-meter course. Longwood will run again next Friday, September 16, at the Adidas Cross Country Challenge at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.
Longwood was led by Reed who placed 33rd among 79 runners and was making his collegiate debut. Following Reed were junior
