FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood University is hosting Cleveland State University of the Horizon League for a three-game college baseball season-opening series this weekend, February 18-20, at Charles Buddy Bolding Stadium in Farmville. The Lancers finished 28-20 a year ago and are coached by 33rd-year head coach Buddy Bolding while returning four position starters and six pitchers among 14 lettermen.
The Vikings finished 12-43 a year ago, including 5-20 in the Horizon League, and are coached by head coach Kevin Kocks. LU and CSU will play single games on Friday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 20, at 12 p.m. Admission is free to all spring sports at Longwood University.
