Coach Bolding: “Chris has both the skill and experience to lead his young team from the mound in his final season as a Lancer. He handed his team an important 6-0 shutout of VCU last season, and made important advances in his mental toughness throughout the 2010 campaign. His command of a plus fastball, exceptional curveball and overall pitching acumen rank him among all the great Lancer pitchers of yesteryear. I am expecting great things from Chris this season; the team needs it and Chris needs it. Chris will serve as pitching captain for his team in 2011.”
