COMPLETE RESULTS
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Longwood University men's cross country posted 80 points to finish third among five teams Saturday morning at the Colonial Inter-Regional Challenge hosted by the College of William and Mary at the Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg. Norfolk State University took first place with 20 points, while the Lancers were led by junior
Darren Simpson|Crewe (FUMA) with his time of 19:36 over the 6000 meter course for 12th-place individually in the field of 38. Longwood will compete again on October 1 at the Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, North Carolina.
Following Simpson for Longwood were sophomore
Sean Flynn|Goodview (Roanoke Catholic) (20:03, 16th), along with juniors
Robert Webb|Williamsburg (Lafayette) (20:41, 22nd), and
Alex Strittmater|Haymarket (Battlefield) (20:59, 26th), along with freshman
Kyle Moller|Gainesville (Battlefield) (21:42, 31st). Also running was junior
Justin Cooke|Chesterfield (Manchester) (21:52, 33rd).
Following Norfolk State in the team results were William and Mary (65), LU, Howard (87), and Hampton (90).
