BRONX, N.Y. -- Longwood University men's cross country posted 547 points to finish 19th among 20 teams Saturday at the 102nd IC4A Cross Country Championships ran at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York. Temple University took first place with 111 points, and was led by individual race winner Mike May (25:24), while the Lancers were led by sophomore
Sean Flynn|Goodview (Roanoke Catholic) with his time of 27:39 over the 8K course for 91st-place individually in the field of 172. Longwood completed its 2010 campaign with its participation in the prestigious competition in New York.
Following Flynn for Longwood were juniors
Robert Webb|Williamsburg (Lafayette)?(28:14, 116th),
Alex Strittmater|Haymarket (Battlefield) (28:40, 130th), and
Justin Cooke|Chesterfield (Manchester) (28:46, 135th), along with freshman
Kyle Moller|Gainesville (Battlefield) (29:05, 142nd).
Following Temple in the team results among the top-five were Connecticut (115), Fordham (130), Colgate (132), and Binghamton (137).
