Women's soccer goalkeeper Maria Kirby tied Longwood's Division I record with 11 saves to lead the Lancers to a 1-0 shutout over Richmond Sunday in Richmond, Va. Kirby logged six saves after halftime, including four straight during a span of 5:40 after freshman Amber Gustafson scored the go-ahead goal just 49 seconds into the second half. Kirby's performance led the Lancers to their fourth shutout and lowered her goals against average to 0.79 on the year.
