2006-07: Undefeated in doubles at the Mary Washington Fall Invitational ... Team MVP in singles and doubles as a freshman having an outstanding season posting an 11-5 record in singles and 10-4 record in doubles.

Coach Breen on Heird: “Billy is a very athletic player and moves well on the court. He is working on his aggressiveness on the court and the ability to take charge of the point right away. Billy is improving with every strike of the ball. His size, strength and athleticism make him an excellent doubles player. He competes extremely well and finds different ways to win. I see Billy developing into a very good collegiate player.”
