FARMVILLE, Va. — Longwood junior runner Ayden Stewart has been named to the 2026 Academic All-District® NCAA Division I Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.
Stewart is a Williamsburg, Va., and sociology native with a 3.81 GPA.
Eligible nominees are be based off TFRRS regional performance rankings at the time of nomination. Cross country student-athletes must have a top-50 performance or a top-50 regional ranking in an indoor outdoor track event.
Stewart finished tied for 37th in the indoor 400 meters in 47.77 at the Big South championship and 47th regionally in the outdoor 400 meters in 47.45, also at the Big South championship..
Since 1952, the award has recognized the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The Academic All-America® program recognizes track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
