First Pitch

•   Longwood plays its final three games of the regular season when it heads to Winthrop for a three-game series.
•   The Lancers are tied for fifth in the Big South standings with Radford with three games to play.
•   Longwood's 28 wins are the most in a season since the team won 32 games in 2016, which also was the last time the Lancers won a game in the Big South Tournament.
•   The Lancers take on a Winthrop side that is in second in the Big South, one game up on Charleston Southern in third.
•   The top six teams in the standings advance to the Big South Tournament, which begins May 20 at HomeTrust Park in Asheville, N.C.

•   Longwood was swept for the first time this season by Charleston Southern over the weekend, 14-3, 7-1 and 21-3.
•   Charleston Southern came in with the highest-scoring offense in the Big South and lived up to the billing in back-to-back-to-back games.
•   Jack McMullan hit a team-best .571 (4-7) on the weekend while driving in a run.
•   Mac Tufts (3-6, 3 HBP), Jae'dan Carter (4-9, 3 BB) and Ben Pulliam (5-12, 1 HR) also had multiple hits for the Lancers.

•   Winthrop has won the past four meetings between the two teams, including a three-game series in Farmville last season.
•   Longwood's last win came in 2024 in Rock Hill, S.C. when the Lancers won the second game of a doubleheader 10-6 thanks to a late rally.
