The First Pitch:

• The Lancers head on the road for a Commonwealth matchup against the University of Richmond Spiders. 
• Longwood last played the Spiders in 2025 in a home-and home, with Richmond winning both games. The two sides split the season series in 2024.
• Both teams finished seven in their respective conferences in 2025.
• The Lancers, at 10-2, are off to their best start through 12 games since the 1997 season. In 1997, Longwood went 13-0 to start the season.

Last Series:

• The Lancers won a series for the third straight weekend this season, winning three of four against Youngstown State. 
• Longwood lost game one 2-1, then won the next three 9-3, 6-3 and 6-4.

• The Lancers are second in the Big South for home runs with 12 so far this season.
• Longwood is first in the Big South and eighth in the nation for stolen bases with 38 on the season. 
• The Lancers also lead the Big South in stolen bases per game and rank seventh in the nation (3.16 per game).
• Longwood ranks first in the Big South and 15th in the nation for WHIP (1.10).
• The Lancers are ranked first in the Big South and 10th in the nation for walks allowed per- nine innings (2.68).
• Tre Keels is first in the Big South and 27th in the nation for stolen bases with eight on the season.
