OMAHA, Neb. -Â In a new collaboration between AstroTurf and D1Baseball, Buddy Bolding Stadium has been named the D1Baseball Field of the Week, the two announced today.
This collaboration began on Feb. 26 when the two offices announced the North Florida Ospreys Baseball Field was the first featured facility.
The Buddy Bolding Stadium underwent a major upgrade ahead of the 2026 season, with the addition of state-of-the-art turf courtesy of AstroTurf in a project that was fully donor-funded.
The turf is weather-resistant, includes Longwood logos and branding, and even the dugouts received renovations to ensure player safety.
The Lancers are currently 10-1 at Buddy Bolding Stadium, their best home start in more than 20 years.
Longwood baseball heads on the road for its first conference series against Gardner-Webb, starting March 13 at 6 p.m. The Lancers will return to Buddy Bolding Stadium for a midweek matchup against William and Mary on March 17, before hosting USC Upstate on March 20 for a three-game series.
