College Baseball Hall of Fame Names Nash

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – Junior Jackson Nash has been named to the National Pitcher of the Year Watchlist by the College Baseball Hall of Fame Office, the foundation announced this afternoon.

Nash, on the season, has a 1.23 ERA after relief appearances in five games spread over 14.2 innings. He earned his first win in the second game of the series against NJIT with a four-inning relief effort. In that outing, he struck out nine against two hits to close out the 15-inning win.

In five games, Nash has struck out 20 while only walking five, and he has given up only two earned runs.

Nash is named alongside 141 of the nation's best pitchers from 26 different conferences, reflecting top performers from the 2026 season so far.

The right-handed pitcher has also won the Big South Relief Pitcher of the Week honors on Feb 17 after the series sweep against NJIT.

Longwood baseball is back on the road this weekend in their first conference series against Gardner-Webb, starting Friday March 13, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
