FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood men's and women's cross country continue the 2026 season Friday morning at the Paul Short Run at Goodman Campus Cross Country Course at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.Â
The men are scheduled to compete at 9:30 a.m., followed by the women at 10:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
WHAT THEY SAID - HEAD COACH BROOKE CRAIG:
"The team is ready for the second half of our regular season. We've had some tough weather for the first two races and we didn't taper them for our first two meets. They are ready to shoot for fast times in a highly competitive field."Â
Who to Watch:
• Junior Andrew Hathaway enters Friday's meet ranked seventh in Longwood's 6K record book with a time of 19:36.5 and ninth in the 8K record book at 26:35.1. Hathaway also owns the program's top 800-meter mark at 1:53.34 and ranks second in the 1,500 meters at 3:57.54.
• Freshman Jonah Bowman enters the Paul Short Run ranked 10th in Longwood's 8K record book with a time of 26:51.8, set during the 2026 season.
• Junior Sophie Farley owns the top marks in Longwood women's 4K, 5K and 6K record books, running 13:51.9 in the 4K, 17:34.5 in the 5K and 20:54.5 in the 6K. Farley also owns the program's top 1,500-meter mark at 4:24.60 and top 5,000-meter mark at 16:44.95.
• Sophomore Sydney O'Hara-Wood ranks third in Longwood's 4K record book at 14:51.3, fourth in the 6K at 22:19.2 and 10th in the 5K at 18:40.9. O'Hara-Wood also owns Longwood's top 3,000-meter mark at 10:37.15 and ranks fourth in the 5,000 meters at 18:31.30.
