The First Pitch:
•    Longwood plays its final non-conference matchup following a nine-day break during finals week in Farmville.
•    The game also serves as the final road game this season, with the Lancers going 6-16 in true road games.
•    The conclusion to a five-game road swing also serves as Longwood's longest road stretch of the season.
•    The nine day break is the longest break since the 2012 season, when Longwood played Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday, April 27 before then playing again against Duke on Sunday, May 6, which was also a nine day break.
•    The Lancers take on a UNCG team that is 8-10 in the Southern Conference, which is tied for fifth out of eight teams.

Previous Game
•    Longwood won the opening game of a three-game series at USC Upstate 7-6 before falling in the final two games 22-11 and 14-4, May 2-4.
•    Guillermo Garcia, Jr. took the ball on Friday and picked up the win with five solid innings, and Ried Dittner tossed a four-inning save.
•    Myles Webb, meanwhile, hit two homers, including a grand slam, to power the Lancers in the Friday night win.
•    Webb added two home runs on Saturday, but the Spartans outslugged the banged-up Lancers 22-11.
•    In the series finale, Joe Castrichini gave Longwood a solid start and kept the Lancers hanging around, but Upstate's offense pulled away in the latter stages of the game to win 14-4.

•    Jae'dan Carter leads the team with 43 walks, which is third in the Big South and 44th nationally. He is currently second in team history, but he is two shy of Justin Mitchell's record of 45, set in 2018.
•    Carter is third in the Big South with those 43 walks.
•    Mac Tufts is also one HBP shy of tying the team record, set by Brian Bassett at 21 in 1995.
