The First Pitch:
•    Longwood travels down to Charleston Southern for a three-game Big South series on Easter weekend.
•    The Lancers are one game out of fourth as six teams are separated by one game. Four teams are tied for fourth at 5-7, including Charleston Southern, while Longwood is one game back at 4-8.
•    Longwood played William & Mary, the seventh Commonwealth opponent of the season, on Tuesday.
•    Following the series, Longwood returns home for a four-game homestand, with Richmond coming in a midweek followed by a Big South series against Winthrop.
•    Charleston Southern swept Radford and took two of three from Winthrop this season.

Previous Series
•    Longwood topped William & Mary with a steady, consistent offense followed by a strong late-game performance from the bullpen.
•    The Lancers won 8-6 after erasing a three-run deficit two different times.
•    All nine players in the order reached base safely at least once, and seven  different players scored a run.
•    Myles Webb had a team-best three hits, and Mac Tufts added two base hits. Myles Urbaniak plated the go-ahead runs with a two-run single in the seventh inning.
•    Joe Castrichini earned the win out of the bullpen, tossing a scoreless sixth inning. The Lancer bullpen didn't allow a run in the final five innings. Isaiah Brewington got the save.

Around The Bases:
•    Longwood put plenty of players on base on Tuesday at William & Mary. The Lancers drew eight walks while also grinding out 10 hits.
•    It was the third time in four games the team had registered at least 10 hits.
•    This season, the Lancers have drawn at least eight walks in a game 10 times, including in each of their past three games.
•    Longwood has drawn at least eight walks in a game five times in Big South play.
•    Jae'dan Carter and Mikey Urbaniak are third and fourth, respectively, in the Big South in walks. Carter has drawn 35 free passes this season, and Urbaniak has drawn 31.
•    The Lancers are also aggressive on the bases when they get there, and they have stolen at least three bases in a game 21 times this year.
•    The team leads the Big South in steals with 104, which is good for fifth in the nation.
•    Tre Keels has a team-best (and Big South high) 25 steals. Myles Webb is fourth in the league with 16 steals, and Mac Tufts is one spot behind him in fifth with 15 steals.
•    The Lancers are also second in the Big South in triples with 11, which also ranks 38th nationally.
•    The team is fourth in the Big South in doubles with 69.
•    In Big South play, the Lancer offense ranks fourth in batting average at .306, and the team is also fourth in runs with 105.
•    In addition, Longwood ranks third in the Big South with a .448 on-base percentage in 12 conference games.
•    That is in large part because Longwood leads the conference with 85 walks while ranking second with 28 hit by pitches.
