The First Pitch:
•    Longwood plays three games in three days against Towson, George Mason and Georgetown at the DMV Classic this weekend.
•    The Lancers are coming off a thrilling win against Boston College on Tuesday in a game that was a late addition to the schedule due to weather cancellations early in the season.
•    For Longwood, it will be the first matchup with Towson since 2013, George Mason since a season ago, and Georgetown since 1995.
•    The Lancers took down a Power Four school for the first time since 2015, when the team beat Georgia 7-3 in the opening game of a three-game series.
 
Previous Series
•    Longwood walked off Boston College 13-12 on Tuesday in a midweek meeting between the two teams, the first in team history.
•    The Lancers scored seven runs in the last two innings to take down the Eagles and erase an 11-6 deficit.
•    Jayson Nash, a freshman, hit the game winning RBI single up the middle with two outs.
•    One batter prior, another freshman, Mikey Urbaniak, had hit a game-tying RBI triple.
•    Braydon Gray, a freshman, got the win on the mound for pitching the final two innings.
•    The Lancers scored at least 10 runs for a second straight game and third time in four games.

•    Longwood has put up at least 10 runs three times in four games, including a 13-12 win over Boston College on Tuesday.
•    The Lancers became the second team in the Big South to knock off a Power Four team, with USC Upstate also beating Boston College earlier in the year. Winthrop then took down Oklahoma State on Wednesday to give the league a third win against a Power Four team.
•    Mac Tufts was the Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on March 2, after he batted .500 (8-16) the prior week. He had four doubles as well.
•    The Lancers ranks second in the Big South in doubles, with 28 on the season. That mark ranks38th in the nation.
•    James Nelson leads the team with six, good for 34th nationally and third in the Big South.
•    Nelson has had seven straight multi-hit games.
•    He ranks 45th nationally, and fourth in the Big South, in hits per game with 1.70
•    Tufts, meanwhile, is fourth in the Big South with five doubles.
•    The Lancers lead the Big South in steals with 32, which is 15th in the nation.
•    Tre Keels is the head of the snake, with a team-best 10 steals, good for 15th nationally and second in the league. He is 10-10.
•    Eight different players have at least two steals for Longwood.
•    The Lancers are an impressive 32-37 (.864 success percentage).
