LYNCHBURG, Va. – Longwood lacrosse fell 21-4 on the road at Liberty on Saturday afternoon as part of a road-heavy start to non-conference play.

Liberty (4-2) had three goals apiece from Cami Merkel and Taiva Reinertson, and five other players had two goals each.

Meanwhile, four different players scored for Longwood (0-4).

Liberty got off to a strong start behind four combined goals from Merkel and Reinertson.

Ellie Rumbaugh put Longwood on the board near the end of the first, but Liberty held a 9-1 advantage after the opening frame.

Jordan Fitzgerald and Mikaela added goals in the third for Longwood, and
Jordan Feder scored a goal in the fourth quarter.

Cybella Smith made seven saves in goal, and
Lily Parker made two saves in her college debut.
Amelia Carlile also made six saves.
