FARMVILLE, Va. — Longwood field hockey (4-10, 2-5) will host two games this weekend.

First, the Lancers (4-10, 2-5 MAC) host a MAC showdown against Central Michigan on Friday afternoon. The second is against Commonwealth rival, and seventh-ranked, Liberty on Sunday at noon.

Checking on the Chippewas:
- The Chippewas (7-7, 2-5 MAC) are tied with Longwood for seventh place in the MAC standings.Â
- Senior Mallory Camryn leads the team in scoring (14 goals, three assists).Â
- Carolena Ryon (seven goals, one assist) and Mora Rulli (three goals, seven assists) are both offensive threats for Central Michigan.Â
- Ashley Cogger was the MAC goalkeeper of the week once and has posted 106 saves with a 0.797 save percentage.
First Look at the Flames:
- Liberty (12-2) is currently ranked seventh in the NFHCA Coaches Poll.Â
- To kick off the season, the Flames defeated fifth-ranked Duke 4-3. They have faced numerous top ten opponents, including top-ranked North Carolina.
- Lou Combrinck leads the Flames' scoring efforts with six goals and ten assists, but four players have at least four goals apiece.
- Zoé Gaillard (six goals) and Dara Semmartin (five goals, ten assists), along with Josefina Tomasi (four goals, five assists) all rank in the top four on the team in scoring
- Diane Saint-Martin has made 30 saves in goal for Liberty, posting a 0.732 save percentage.Â
Wilding with Wiley:
- In the Lancers' last showdown against Ohio, Madison Wiley scored the game-winning goal to send Longwood past Ohio 2-1.
- The Lancer senior has two goals this season, and both have been game-winning goals.
Chasing Carraway:
- Caitlin Carraway scored her first career goal against Ohio to help secure Longwood's win against Ohio.
- The goal came on a penalty corner where she blasted it in from the top of the shooting circle
Stopping Shots with Sophie:
- Two time MAC Goalkeeper of the Week, Sophie Mooldijk (4-10), has tallied 139 saves on the season, posting a 0.760 save percentage.
- The sophomore earned Goalkeeper of the Week honors this week after piling up 33 saves in two games last weekend.
