CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Sophomore forward Brando Bedolla has been named Big South Co-Offensive Player of the Week in men's soccer, the league announced on Monday.
Bedolla scored a pair of goals 39 seconds apart in the second half on Friday to help the Lancers force a 2-2 draw with Winthrop.
He bent a ball off of a short corner inside the far post with 65:34 on the clock to get Longwood on the scoreboard. The Greenville, S.C., native then tied the match on a high press, deflecting a pass back to the Winthrop goalkeeper over the goal line at the 66:13 mark.
Bedolla shared the honor with Bernardo Pacheco, who tallied both of the Eagles' goals in the first half on Friday.
Bedolla leads Longwood with five goals and 11 in 12 matches this season.
The weekly honor is the second of his career as he was named Co-Big South Freshman of the Week on Sept. 30, 2024.
The Lancers (2-8-3) play their final regular-season non-conference game at Navy Tuesday at 7 p.m.
