Lancers Continue ITA Regional Play

Song falls in three sets in main singles draw to Old Dominion

BLACKSBURG, Va. — The Longwood women's tennis team continued play at the 2025 ITA Atlantic Regional at Virginia Tech's Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center on Friday.

Freshman Bali Song, who earned automatic qualification to the main singles draw battled Marina Markina of Old Dominion before falling in three sets, 7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-2.

In doubles action, Song and Feline van Eijkelenburg dropped an 8-4 decision to Diya Challa/Magdalena Baniak from Maryland, while Oriana Izarra and Hima Fernando lost, 8-0, to Katie Rolls and Blair Gill from Virginia.

Day three matches begin at 9 a.m., on Saturday.
