• The Blue Devils struck first, but the Lancers would not go away quietly in game one, when
Tanner Thomas singled to get Longwood on the board in the fourth.
• In the fifth the Lancers loaded the bases again, and it was Thomas picking up the timely hit to cut the Blue Devil lead down to 4-3..
• From there Duke exploded, and took both game one and two from the Lancers.
• Longwood currently sits fourth in the conference in batting average at .271.

Noah Campanelli is the league leader in the stolen bases at 30.
• The Lancers are still proving that they are not afraid when it comes to being hit by a pitch. They currently sit ninth in the country in HBP at 99.
