Around The Bases:
•    Longwood is set to take on Richmond and George Mason in two midweek games. They will play five home games in a row stating Tuesday.
•    The Lancers look to continue to improve on their last game as they were able to beat Samford Saturday.
•    The Lancers experience has been a steady piece on both sides of the ball this season. Noah Campanelli, Hayden Harris, and Willie Havens help lead the way for Longwood behind the plate, while Guillermo Garcia Jr. and Brenton Fisher start two of the three weekend series games.
•    Longwood struggled on Friday in the double header which saw Samford get great pitching performances in both games. The Lancers were unable to get going, and eventually would drop the first two.
•    Saturday's game, the Lancers were finally able to break through. They scored seven runs in the top half of the 3rd inning, and never looked back.
•    Eight of the nine Longwood starters were able to record a hit. Blagen Pado led the way for the offense with two hits and two RBI's.
•    On the other side of the ball, the Lancers pitching staff was dominant. The combination of Brenton Fisher, Dylan Saale, Kevin Warunek, and Ried Dittner combined for 10 strikeouts in seven innings.
•    Following the two midweek games, the Lancers will host Charleston Southern in a Big South Conference matchup over the weekend.
•    The Lancers are still proving that they are not afraid when it comes to being hit by a pitch. They currently sit fifth in the country in HBP at 69.
.•    Longwood has also proven to be an unselfish bunch at the plate this season as they have the sixth most sacrifice bunts on the season in the country at 25.
