Around The Bases:
• The Lancers look to bounce back from their past weekend which ultimately saw them drop two of three in Kennesaw.

Hayden Harris has been a steady bat for the Lancers where he has at least a base hit in 11 straight games.
• Tuesday night the Lancers jumped out to a 5-2 lead through the first four innings. Both teams added a run in the fifth.
• In that game, Longwood left 12 players on base.

James Nelson each added three hits on the night.

Owen Simmons started his second straight midweek game for the Lancers where he threw 2.1 innings at Elon.
• The Lancers were hit by a pitch six different times, a stat the Lancers have been strong at all season long. Six players have logged four hit by pitches or more on the season. The Lancers rank 2nd in the country with 42 HBP.
• Longwood has proven to be an unselfish bunch at the plate this season as they have the 7th most sacrifice bunts on the season in the country at 12.
• South Carolina comes into the weekend ranked No. 21 in national polls.
• The Lancers will return home after this weekend on Tuesday and Wednesday taking on VCU and William and Mary before starting conference play at Winthrop next weekend.
• The starting rotation has gotten off to a great start in the first three weekend this season.
